Craig McDonald is the founder and director of Texans for Public Justice, a non-partisan, non-profit policy research and advocacy center focusing on issues of corporate and government responsibility. Established in 1997, Texans for Public Justice has served as an aggressive watchdog over the role of money in Texas politics and the Texas courts. The organization has been featured by many national news outlets. McDonald has appeared on 60 Minutes, Nightline, Bill Moyers’ Now and dozens of other television outlets.
Prior to relocating to Texas, McDonald spent 15 years in Washington, D.C. He is a former Director of Public Citizen’s Congress Watch, the Washington-based consumer advocacy organization where he was responsible for developing and analyzing campaign finance and related legislation and policy.
